During the earliest years of his life Joseph moved around quite a bit due to his father’s military service in both the US Air Force and later the US Navy. After this service, the family returned to Illinois where Joseph grew up in Perry County, graduating from Pinckneyville Community High School in 1991. After high school, Joseph attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale earning a B.A. in Psychology in 1995 and a M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling in 1997.
Upon graduation Joseph worked at TASC Inc., an organization helping facilitate drug and alcohol treatment for people with problems who were also involved with the legal system. This led Joseph to enroll at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale School of Law where he was also the Chief Justice for the Moot Court (Trial Team) and member of the Order of Barristers, earning his J.D., in 2003. In 2004, Joseph joined the firm of Taliana, Rubin and Buckley which shortly thereafter became Taliana, Buckley, Asa & Reames wherein Joseph represented creditors in mortgage foreclosures, forcible entry and detainers (evictions) and bankruptcy proceedings. In 2010, Joseph started The Law Office of Joseph N. Reames, LLC, where he continues to use the skills he has acquired in his legal career in his representation of clients in personal injury, family law, criminal defense, bankruptcy and juvenile law.
In his time away from the office Joseph is a St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Dallas Cowboys football, Chicago Blackhawks hockey fan as well as an avid fan of science fiction and military history.
